Every October, Winnsboro’s Autumn Trails Festival brings engines, excitement, and a whole lot of hometown pride — and one of the biggest highlights is the Tractor Pull!
If you’ve never seen one, picture this: rows of restored vintage tractors lined up and ready to test their strength. Each tractor hooks up to a weighted sled and pulls it down a long dirt track — the farther they go, the heavier it gets. The crowd cheers as engines roar, dirt flies, and drivers show off their skill and horsepower!
It’s not just a competition; it’s a community event filled with nostalgia, laughter, and fun for all ages. You’ll find locals swapping stories, kids wide-eyed at the shiny red tractors, and the smell of fair food in the air.
Woody, our 1931 Model A Station Wagon, even made an appearance this year to watch the action and take in the sights. From the sidelines, he got to see the craftsmanship and power that connect the past to today — a perfect match for Oaklea Mansion’s love of history on wheels.
So, if you’re planning to visit Winnsboro next October, make sure to mark your calendar for the Autumn Trails Tractor Pull. And while you’re here, stop by Oaklea Mansion for a tour, or catch a ride in Woody to experience a piece of history firsthand!
