Woodie got a new horn!
Well hello there, friends—it’s me, Woody, your favorite 1931 Model A Station Wagon. I’ve got some exciting news to share: I finally got my voice back!
For a long time, I have to admit, my horn was in pretty rough shape. Sometimes it croaked, sometimes it squeaked, and other times… nothing at all. Imagine trying to make an entrance, greet a friend, or join in the fun at a parade and only letting out a sad little squeal (if anything came out at all). Not exactly the proud “Ahooga!” I was built for back in the day.
But now—oh boy—things have changed. I’ve been given a brand-new horn, and let me tell you, it sounds just like the real deal. Crisp, bold, and full of character, just the way us old Model A’s were meant to be heard. The first time I tried it out, I swear the sound echoed like a triumphant declaration:
“AHOOGA!”
Heads turned, kids laughed, and I felt more alive than I have in years. After all, a Woody wagon like me isn’t complete without that signature call. It’s more than just a horn—it’s part of my personality.
Now, when I roll through town or greet visitors at Oaklea Mansion and the Carlock House Museum, I can proudly announce my presence. No more sputters, no more silence—just a good, hearty ahooga every time.
So, if you’re nearby, come take a tour, hop in for a ride, and hear me try out my brand-new voice. Trust me, it’s music to my wheels.
Until then, friends… Ahooga, ahooga!
