Downtown Winnsboro came alive during the Big Wheel Bash, an event that proved once again that small-town Texas knows how to throw a big celebration. Hosted by Bizzy Bee Academy in partnership with community organizations, the Bash brought together an unforgettable mix of vintage classics, modern muscle, emergency services, and even heavy machinery—all in the heart of Winnsboro.

A Parade of Automotive Legends

From the rumble of modern engines to the timeless hum of historic rides, the Bash was a dream for car enthusiasts of all ages. Among the lineup:

  • Oaklea’s 1931 Ford Model A Woody Wagon – our Oaklea treasure, standing proudly among the greats.

  • The legendary Bandit Truck – a crowd favorite that turned heads all day long.

  • A 1964 Corvette Stingray and a 1961 Convertible Corvette, showcasing the iconic evolution of the Corvette legacy.

  • The 1969 Dodge Charger “General Lee”, a pop culture favorite.

  • Modern muscle: a 2019 Corvette ZR1, 2024 Corvette Z06, 2015 Mustang GT, 2007 Mustang, and a 2014 Mustang.

  • Vintage charm: a 1931 Ford Model A Tudor, a 1928 Ford Model A Phaeton, and a 1931 Model A Delivery Sedan.

  • Crowd favorites like the 1984 Chevy Pickup, Chevy Corvair, and a fleet of go-karts kept the energy high.

Beyond the Cars: A Showcase of Community Spirit

The Big Wheel Bash wasn’t just about cars—it was about everything on wheels. Winnsboro’s police department rolled in with cruisers, firetrucks impressed the kids, and a helicopter gave the event some high-flying flair. Heavy equipment like backhoes, skid steers, a portable sawmill, and a wrecker offered a behind-the-scenes look at the machines that keep our town moving.

And let’s not forget the tractors: the community marveled at everything from an operational Farmall C to a powerful 4430, all alongside Winnsboro’s own mosaic tractor, a piece of art and heritage combined.

Oaklea & Woody in the Spotlight

For us at Oaklea Mansion, the highlight was seeing Woody, our 1931 Ford Model A Station Wagon, join this impressive fleet. To stand among the classics, modern marvels, and community vehicles was a reminder of how history continues to roll forward. Woody isn’t just a car—it’s a storyteller, connecting past and present, and sharing in events that bring people together.

A Partnership That Builds Community

The Big Wheel Bash was more than a car showcase; it was a true community partnership. Bizzy Bee Academy, local businesses, emergency services, and families across Winnsboro came together to celebrate heritage, horsepower, and hometown pride. Oaklea was honored to play a part in this great adventure, and we’re already looking forward to seeing Woody roll out for future events.
